Meet Tracey Abbott
Joint Founder, Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist
“I use my imagination and the wide variety of equipment available to ensure that each training session is different but challenging and fun. My ethos is never give up, if you have a set back, put it behind you and keep moving forwards and look to the future.”
Before qualifying as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist, I was an officer in the Royal Navy and a chartered accountant.
Not being somebody who likes to be bored and always being up for a new challenge, over the last ten years I have embarked on a career as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist following a breast cancer diagnosis. A decision I certainly don’t regret!
I enjoy getting to know new people; being out of doors and generally being active, but I also love food and drink and believe that it is possible to have a balance between the two. I enjoy setting myself challenges and I am part way through a year long nutrition course with MacNutrition Uni which will lead me to being a fully qualified and insured nutritionist.
Functional training (exercise based on everyday movements); the use of exercise in managing lower back pain and sports massage. I also love training with kettlebells, boxercise, TRX, medicine balls and VIPrs. I work with a wide range of ages and abilities and by working primarily from my private studio in Park Gate, near Fareham, I am able to provide privacy for clients who are self conscious. I work with a very wide variety of clients for sports massage and specialise in working with runners and triathletes, as well as clients who suffer from postural imbalances from the ravages of modern life.
