Tracey Abbott

Before qualifying as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist, I was an officer in the Royal Navy and a chartered accountant.

Not being somebody who likes to be bored and always being up for a new challenge, over the last ten years I have embarked on a career as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. A decision I certainly don’t regret!

I enjoy getting to know new people; being out of doors and generally being active, but I also love food and drink and believe that it is possible to have a balance between the two. I enjoy setting myself challenges and have just started a nutrition course with MacNutrition Uni which will lead me to being a fully qualified and insured nutritionist. I have also finished my Level 4 Qualification in Exercise and Nutritional Inventions for Obesity and Diabetes and also a Level 3 Qualification in GP Exercise Referral. These allow me to work with clients with a wide range of illnesses ranging from high blood pressure or high cholesterol to depression and anxiety.

Specialist Areas

Are functional training (exercise based on everyday movements); the use of exercise in managing lower back pain and sports massage. I also love training with kettlebells, boxercise, TRX, medicine balls and VIPrs. I work with a wide range of ages and abilities and by working primarily from my private studio in Park Gate, near Fareham, I am able to provide privacy for clients who are self conscious. I work with a very wide variety of clients for sports massage and specialise in working with runners and triathletes, as well as clients who suffer from postural imbalances from the ravages of modern life.

  • Premier Master Trainer in Corrective Exercise
  • Level 4 Specialist Instructor in Exercise for the Management of Low Back Pain and Obesity and Diabetes
  • Level 3 Premier Diploma in Advanced Personal Training and GP Exercise Referrals
  • Level 3 Premier Diploma in Ante and Post Natal Training
  • Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage and Level 3 Diploma in Swedish Massage and Hot Stones Massage Certificate
  • Level 2 Gym Instructor and Exercise to Music Instructor
  • Completion of Stott Pilates Matwork course
  • Qualified instructor in Schwinn Indoor Cycling, Boxercise, Kickboxercise, Circuit Training, Core Stability, Bodycore Vibration Machines, Advanced Kettlebell Trainer, Viprs and Medicine balls.
  • First Aid qualified and fully insured.

I am a Gold member of the Sports Massage Association and member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I am also listed on the National Register of Personal Trainers and on the Register of Exercise Professional (REPS) at Level 4.


Grant Smith

I have been involved in the fitness industry for over 18 years. Including managing gyms in Saudi Arabia.  I’m currently working at Spirit Health Club as a personal trainer.

My passion is basketball which I’ve played at both National and European level.  I also spent the summer training with an NCAA side in America. I still train on a regular basis and also enjoy both strength and power training.

I have two young daughters who keep me on my toes.  Both under 10 and extremely active.  Looking after them is a workout on it’s own!  But I love every minute of it.

Specialist Areas

My specialist areas are kinesiology and core stability training. I have also developed a six week weight loss course which combines both nutrition advice and exercise and a 12 week body transformation program that is suitable for individuals new to training and includes 2 group exercise sessions and 1 personal training session per week. Both these programs have a 100% success rate.

Chris O’Neill

Having played football from a young age, with spells at Bournemouth and Portsmouth football clubs.  I have a keen interest in the health and fitness industry. With over 15 years experience as a personal trainer, I have come to realise that lifestyle chance is key to achieving long-term progression and enjoy sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with my clients.

I believe in order to get the best results you must engage your mind and body.  I use a variety of equipment to provide a safe, effective but also enjoyable workout in order to bring about progression and sustainable improvement.
